Security
The entrance requires a door code for families and staff. This safety feature protects children and staff throughout the day.
In addition, there is an alarm system and cameras to allow complete monitoring of the facility, ensuring that children and staff are safe and secure.
Visitors are required to present photo identification and sign-in upon entering the facility.
Temperature & Wellness Checks
During drop-off, each child's temperature is checked.
Wellness checks are done for all children throughout the day.
Parents are notified if
their child is exhibiting any
symptoms of illness.
Face Masks
Face masks are worn to prevent the spread of germs and illness, as necessary.
Handwashing
Frequent handwashing with
soap and water is practiced throughout the day, including upon arrival, before and after meal prep, before and after staff breaks, before and after meals, after outdoor play, after classroom activities, after
using the bathroom, and after
coughing, sneezing
and blowing a nose.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
A daily cleaning routine is implemented to clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces and objects/materials throughout the day.
These include, but are not limited to, classroom materials,
tables and chairs, bathrooms, diapering area, food prep areas, light switches, door handles, floors, etc.
Illness
We follow guidance for illness and COVID-19 symptoms, isolation, and quarantine provided by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Playground Safety
Children are actively
supervised at all times
during outdoor play.
The playground is regularly checked for safety and disinfected to prevent the
spread of germs and illness.
Sleep Safety
Nap checks are conducted
daily during children's rest/nap period.
Emergency Preparedness
Fire drills are conducted monthly and other emergency drills are practiced twice a year.
First Aid/CPR/AED
All Staff are adult and pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
The classroom and facility are equipped with first aid
kits for "boo boos."
Staff who are medication administration certified are
on-site at all times.
